Us
I have worked in accounting and finance for my entire professional career. I spent the first 25 years working in the hospitality industry where I started as an accounts payable clerk. I then worked my way up to the Director of Finance for Global Technology at the corporate office with responsibility of over $300 million per year. When I left this position I partnered with a small business and helped them clean up their books and worked with the owner to begin offering benefits to their employees. When I saw how much I was able to help a small business owner, I knew that I would never go back to a large corporation again. Working with small businesses gave me a real sense of accomplishment. I finally felt like I could really make a difference in the lives of the business owners I was working with.
CanAm Bookkeeping, LLC was born during the Covid-19 pandemic in March of 2020. When the Covid pandemic hit, I realized that there were many business owners that were stressed out about ensuring that their bookkeeping was kept up to date and that it was done properly. I started calling around to some business owners and was able to get my first few clients. I have been fortunate enough to grow my business so I now have other women working with me to provide the best possible service to my customers.
